Wound Care Management Department

Wound Management is dedicated to the provision of state-of-the-art outpatient wound care.  Statistics show a tremendous need for wound care treatment.  Wounds can be the result of diabetes, circulatory problems, and many other conditions. A variety of clinical treatments including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, debridement, compression, negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, cellular and tissue products, and dressings are utilized. Each patient receives a comprehensive examination including medical and wound history to provide a holistic plan of care individualized for each patient. Our Wound Management team consists of Certified Wound Specialist physicians and staff who specialize in the care of wounds.

The hospital-based wound clinic at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital is staffed by Dr. Stephen Bergquist, Medical Director, and Dr. Osayawe Odeh. This location utilizes hyperbaric oxygen therapy when it is appropriate.

The wound clinic located at 2863 Highway 45 Bypass is staffed by Dr. Chris Lewis. It is expected that the patient is able to ambulate or arrive by wheelchair at The Jackson Clinic for their visits at this location.

Our Wound Care Team is considered a specialty extension of practice for all providers and is dedicated to healing wounds and changing lives.
