Two New Physicians Join The Jackson Clinic

Stephen E. Collier, M.D. (Internal Medicine), and Stephen D. Hammond, Jr., M.D. (Ophthalmology), have recently joined the practice at The Jackson Clinic.

"We at The Jackson Clinic are thrilled to welcome Dr. Collier and Dr. Hammond to the team as we strive to offer the best care to our patients," says Carl Rudd, The Jackson Clinic Administrator.

Dr. Collier majored in Biology and received his Bachelor of Science from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. He graduated with a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine with the Baptist Health System, also in Birmingham. Dr. Collier joins The Jackson Clinic after having served as the Medical Director for SouthernCare Hospice as well as for Sunbridge Nursing and Rehab. Dr. Collier is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Hammond received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Union University in Jackson, TN. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine with a Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Hammond completed his Internship at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN and his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Hammond is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has served on medical mission trips to Chad, Africa as well as to Haiti.
